Focus on four new positions

From the Gazette & Herald, first published Thursday 2nd Sep 2004.

GAZETTE & HERALD: FOCUS has undergone a £12 million makeover and created four new jobs in the process.

The DIY store in Bath Road has been undergoing improvements in recent weeks and will officially unveil its new look on Friday, September 10.

As well as a new showroom and complementary planning service, the store will also be paying an extra £40,000 into the local economy, through staff wages.

The new posts have been created to staff the new facilities, including the re-modelled garden centre and kitchen and bathroom displays.

And more jobs could be in the pipeline, if the store continues to thrive.

Store manager, Paul Grigg said: "It seems that Changing Rooms really has come to Focus in Chippenham.

"The refit will enable us to give customers improved offers and service from a brand new concept store.

"And we'd like to extend a huge thank-you to all our customers who have remained supportive throughout the store changes."
