Hi-tech company has room to grow in bigger premises

From the Amesbury Journal, first published Thursday 5th Aug 2004.

MAYORESS of Salisbury Sue Nettle has opened telecommunications expert 4Com's new premises, on Salisbury's Churchfields industrial estate.

Mrs Nettle performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the rapidly expanding company's Watt Road headquarters, known as 4Com House.

4Com, founded in 1998, provides a variety of communication solutions for small to medium-size companies across the country.

Last year it was 21st in the Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track Awards list of the 100 fastest growing companies in the UK.

Managing director Daron Hutt said the company was pleased to be relocating to a property where the size of the offices would not prevent further expansion.

"We will also have the room to employ more staff and retain our primary presence in Salisbury," he said.

"4Com has the ability to offer all the benefits of working with and for a large organisation, but we retain that personal touch that we know our customers and staff appreciate and value."

As part of its continuing growth, 4Com has opened a sales and technical division in Sheffield.
