GAZETTE & HERALD: Pupils at Cherhill School have been working with a professional artist to create books on a sea theme.
Pirate books, starfish books, beach books and even books shaped as sandcastles were made with the help of artist Maxine Relton.
Last Friday all 210 books were displayed in the school hall for parents and friends to admire.
The Friends of Cherhill School made a substantial contribution towards the cost of the artist's fee.
Headteacher James York Moore said: "We always strive to provide something extra for the children.
"Maxine's visits give us the kind of artistic inspiration, which it is only possible to obtain from a professional craftsperson.
"The books that the children make are real little treasures for them to keep for a long time."
