FARINGDON Town cruised into the second round of the North Berks Cup when they thrashed Inkpen 7-0.
With many Division One sides playing away to Division Two opposition it was thought there might be a few upsets, but it was a day when the top division largely imposed itself.
Faringdon's scorers were Gary Sutton (3), John Lovegrove, Robert Owen, Darryl Pugh and Chris Benson, while Blewbury overcame Stanford-in-the-Vale 51.
Third Division Northcroft proved no match for East Hendred in the North Berks Cup 1st Round as they were on the wrong end of a 60 hiding.
Veteran Paul Mead played up front for Hendred, belying his 40 years with an excellent performance and a headed goal at the far post to open the scoring. Neil Thimbleby headed a second from close range and Glynn Evans' free-kick evaded everyone to make it 30 at the break.
Steve Wheeler scored from the penalty spot after Mead was baulked and Andy Stickley and Stephen Madge completed the rout.
Saxton Rovers won 3-0 at League new boys Didcot Casuals, while Neil Davis, Gareth Ward and Nick Brough scored as Ardington and Lockinge won by the same score against Botley United.
Goalkeeper Flower scored in the derby clash between Benson AFC and Benson Lions, which finished 41 to AFC. Andy Hayes, Buckley and Matthew Prince scored for the home side.
In an all-Division One clash, Marcham were soon 30 to the good at Warborough & Shillingford and went on to win 51.
Lewis Hill, Will Westhall, Tristan Barrett, Martin Parsons and Jonathon Cummings scored for Marcham, with Gareth Hughes getting Warborough's consolation.
Drayton were the only top side to fall to lower opposition, as they lost 10 at home to Coleshill United, Lee Beaver getting the only goal of the game.

In the Charity Shield Preliminary Round, Kintbury Rangers hammered Challow United 100, with Adam Allsop and George Hannagh both getting hat-tricks.
Shrivenham Reserves, Nairne Paul Cup winners for the last two seasons, went out at the first stage this time as on-form Lambourn Sports Reserves won 30, thanks to strikes from Steve Cramb, Simon Nixon and Chris Pryor.
Grove Rangers went to the top of Division Two, after a 21 win over Saxton Rovers Reserves. A headed goal from Ben Williams and a low drive from David Mulford sealed the points for Grove.
Robbie Harrington and Andy Tranter scored for Faringdon Reserves but Buckland hit back to win 32, while East Hendred kept their good start going with a 3-1 win at Long Wittenham Reserves. On target were Pat Allen, Jason Fisher and Nick Lilywhite.
In Division Four, Harwell International Reserves started their season with a 43 win against Uffington United. John Massingham, Neal Smith, Tom Davies and Ben Higgins were the Harwell scorers.
