CIRENCESTER Under 15s survived a late scare before securing a 12-7 win over Worcester at the Whiteway.
They opened the scoring with a flowing move after Worcester had missed touch.
Full back James Theobald ran the ball back and scrum-half Jamie McGillick and fly-half Tom Ginnever continued the move before centre James Constable picked a perfect line through a fragmented defence to dive over by the posts.
A second score followed before the end of the half as No 8 Nick Farnan made a perfectly-timed charge and picked out his brother Malc with an instinctive pass for a score well converted by Constable.
Shell-shocked Worcester were forced into action after the interval and the sin-binning of a Ciren player made it difficult for the home side.
The man advantage allowed the visitors to score a converted try after considerable pressure, but Cirencester rallied to hold on.
Cooper Avon came at Bassett strongly early on but Bassett began to dominate but, on 15 minutes, a poorly-defended quick penalty allowed a Cooper Avon converted try.
Bassett fought back strongly, eventually scoring an unconverted try through centre Shane Grosvenor.
Cooper Avon held firm until half time and the game see-sawed after the break until second row Eric Murry drove through tacklers and gave the scoring pass to centre Chris Hale, who also converted.
