DEC 12 - JAN 19: CLAIRE McGLINN, better known as Coronation Street's sparky schoolteacher Charlie Ramsden, is to take the lead role in the Theatre Royal's Christmas pantomime, Robin Hood And The Babes In The Wood.
Clare, will be teaching the wicked Sheriff of Nottingham a lesson or two as she robs from the rich to give to the poor, as the valiant hero, Robin Hood.
For the past two years, Clare's Coronation Street character taught at Weatherfield Comprehensive and was married to the soap's heart-throb doctor, Matt Ramsden.
Also joining the cast of this year's panto is GWR FM's Stef Williams as Maid Marion, zany comic Rick Gaynor as Simple Simon, and Matthew Linus Hunt and HTV's Jon Monie as a pair of dastardly robbers.
Star-spotters will also find Colin Tarrant, best known for his long-standing role as The Bill's Inspector Monroe, Sarah Thomas, who has starred as Thora Hird's long-suffering daughter in Last Of The Summer Wine since 1986, as the Fairy, and the irrepressible Chris Harris, who is well known as one of the best dames in the business.
