TEENAGER Jessica Holme was on a high after winning the solo vocal class on the opening day of the Salisbury Young People's Festival on Monday.
Jessica (14) lives at Fugglestone Red, Salisbury, and is a pupil at the city's St Edmund's School, which is hosting the annual four-day music event.
The festival, which has attracted around 800 entries from all over the Salisbury area, had its second day yesterday and was continuing today.
The competition finishes on Saturday and the winners from the week will be taking part in concerts to be staged at the Blackledge Theatre, Godolphin School, at 2.30pm and 5.30pm on March 17.
