From the Swindon Advertiser, first published Thursday 3rd May 2001.
ARSON has not been ruled out as the cause of the fire in an empty building between the rear of Iceland and the Emery Gate service yard.
Flames were shooting through the roof when four fire appliances from Chippenham and Corsham arrived at around 7.30pm. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus had to make a forced entry into the building and were concerned when they came across two gas cylinders.
But the blaze was soon under control although it ok three hours to put it out completely, said sub officer Julian Hancock, of Chippenham.
